Engage in the role of advanced practice in nursing by raising awareness of a heightened risk of suicide for student veterans and military-connected service members.

Integrate theories, principles, and concepts from caring science to practice in the higher education learning environment to improve health outcomes for student veterans and military-connected service members.

Critically use decision-making/problem-solving strategies in program and campus evaluation with veterans and service members.

Implement a Trauma-informed approach and model to faculty, staff & student understanding of student veterans and military-connected servicemembers.

Educate interprofessional groups on evidence-based strategies for student veterans' successful identity reconstruction as a student with a sense of belonging.

Advocate for VMHC leadership on campus and tailoring of student veteran and military-connected services.
